Monica Castillo is a writer and critic based in New York City whose writing has appeared in The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Village Voice, RogerEbert.com, Remezcla, The Guardian, Variety, NPR, Polygon, Cosmopolitan and The Boston Globe.
She completed her M.A. at the University of Southern California as the school’s first film critic fellow, and her B.A. in sociology at Boston University.
